To determine which type of Stromberg you need either Pack 1 (older single coil cars) or Pack 4,6,8 (newer Multi coil cars) count the number of ignition leads.

If your car is a

Four Cylinder and has 5 ignition leads you need Pack 1 $59.95 if 4 leads Pack 4 $59.95.

Six Cylinder and has 7 ignition leads you need Pack 1 $59.95 if 6 leads Pack 6 $89.95.

Eight Cylinder and has 9 ignition leads you need Pack 1 $59.95 if 8 leads Pack 8 $109.95.

Q: Does the Stromberg improve the fuel economy with magnetic fuel treatment devices?

A: We offer more spark – hence better burning of the fuel – improved combustion. We have not tried the Stromberg with the magnetic Fuel treatment devices, however we do not anticipate any problems combining the two technologies.

Q: How long has the Stromberg been in use and is their any failures occurred with their use?

A: Thanks for your enquiry. Stromberg has been in use on vehicles (boats, motorcycles & lawnmowers etc) of all types for more than 20 years. I have only just recently become involved with the Stromberg and as such don't have a huge amount of first hand feedback, but everyone I have met who has used one has had noticeable results. There have been quite a few people who have come back for seconds. I have one on my v8 Fairlane on lpg, but it was fitted not long after I got the car so I can't compare exactly. I do know that it runs heaps better than my previous 6 cylinder Fairlane on gas and is smoother and starts more easily. It is very hard to be precise about the benefits you will gain from the Stromberg due to the many variations in cars, their condition and the way they are driven. All I can say is that it WILL improve performance and economy. Most of the time it will be between %10 and %20. The more inefficient a car is at burning the fuel in the cylinder the more effect you will notice. If proper testing was to be carried out there would be specific improvements in the function of the engine as that is the nature of what the Stromberg does. The Stromberg gives more spark therefore giving more complete burning of the fuel. Your car WILL be using all of the fuel rather than some of it. It just means you are getting your moneys worth out of every litre of fuel!. The Stromberg High Frequency Converter is guaranteed to improve the performance of any engine, and other than breakage through misuse or tampering outside our factory, is guaranteed to permanently convert a normal ignition spark to high frequency current without deterioration.

Q: Does the Stromberg work with LPG systems?

A: Thanks for your question. Because the stromberg improves the combustion by increasing the efficiency of the spark it is ideal for any petrol or LPG engine.

Q: Does the Stromberg work with Ionisers?

A: We offer more spark – hence better burning of the fuel – improved combustion. We have not tried the Stromberg with the ionizers, however we do not anticipate any problems combining the two technologies. Hope that helps,

Q: Does the Stromberg increase the Cylinder head temperature or the voltage to the spark plugs?

A: The coil feeds the converter the same amount of electricity the manufacturer designed which it merely converts to a high frequency stream of current. There is no change of voltage or cylinder-head temperature.
