The Stromberg will not cause harm to a motor in any way.
What pack do I need? There are basically 2 types of ignition systems and each type needs a different Stromberg pack.
Older model cars have a distributor with a lead between it and the coil. These ignition systems (Type 1) require pack 1.
Newer cars have a 'coil pack' with one coil per spark plug and don't have a distributor. These ignition systems (Type 2) require packs 4,6 or 8 depending on how many cylinders the car has. (ie 4 cylinder/4 spark plugs - pack 4, 6 cylinder/6 spark plugs - pack 6, etc)
So basically if the car has a distributor you need pack 1 and if it doesn't you need pack 4, 6 or 8. Your car's repair manual would have this information or just ask your mechanic if you are not sure.
Don't put off saving up to 20% on your fuel bill. The sooner you install a Stromberg the sooner the savings start.
LIFETIME GUARANTEE
The Stromberg High Frequency Converter is guaranteed to improve the performance of any engine, and other than breakage through misuse or tampering outside our factory, is guaranteed to permanently convert a normal ignition spark to high frequency current without deterioration. Any unit ever becoming defective will be replaced free of charge.
How much are the different packs?
PACK 1 @ $59.95 for a car with distributor
PACK 4 @ $59.95 for a 4 cylinder car with 'coil pack'
PACK 6 @ $89.95 for a 6 cylinder car with 'coil pack'
PACK 8 @ $109.95 for a 8 cylinder car with 'coil pack'
We are happy to exchange packs if the wrong system is purchased, but obviously, with postage at your expense.
How is it installed?
So simple to install! Just about anyone with even a little knowledge about engines could do it.
Type 1 ignition systems
(See above explanation and pics)
On older model cars with Type 1 ignition systems requiring pack 1:
Simply cut the wire between the coil and distributor and screw both ends of the wire into each end of the Stromberg Fuel Saver.
Installation can very easily be done by anyone who can determine the appropriate wires to cut. If you don't feel confident with this your mechanic could do it in a couple of minutes for you at your next service.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THIS CONVERTER ONLY BE INSTALLED ON LEADS 8MM AND LARGER.
Type 2 ignition systems
(See above explanation and pics)
On newer model cars with Type 2 ignition systems requiring pack 4, 6 or 8:
Simply cut each wire between the coil and the spark plug and screw both ends of each wire into each end of a small Stromberg Fuel Saver.
Simple Installation
As little as 10 minutes
Either Type 1
OR
Newer Cars Type 2
Up to 20% increase in performance
The spark from the ignition coil is the life force of the engine
The Stromberg High Frequency Converter improves the spark by changing a single spark to multiple sparks instantaneously (multi spark discharge). More spark = better burning of the fuel in the cylinder = improved performance and fuel savings.
